This Is What I Want to Show You

This Is What I Want to Show You is a photography exhibition in which community members share insights into each other's professional and personal worlds through Instagram. Bringing together images of their passions, secrets, favourite sites, daily inspirations or even surprising aspects of their jobs, the exhibition's intention is to interweave the lives of members in our community and to learn about their uniqueness - all framed by the camera lens. These visual statements will form a combination of individual paths we walk and thoughts we conceive in order to help us gain more awareness about each other.

To participate, post up to 3 photos with our Let Me Show You hashtag #lmsy2018 on your public Instagram profile. Tag @thehorsebridge in your post and tell us about your submission for This Is What I Want to Show You.

The open call will run until 26 March 2018 at 9pm GMT. We will then select final 100 images from all submissions and print them to be exhibited in Gallery 2 from 5th April to 10th April. During the exhibition, visitors will have a chance to vote for the top three original and imaginative entries. Each printed entry will be for sale to the public for £5 to raise funds for The Horsebridge Arts Centre. Only one print will be made of an entry.

All information detailing how to enter this competition forms part of these terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the entrant agrees to abide by these rules. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions. Entries are submitted through a new Instagram hashtag #lmsy2018 and by tagging @thehorsebridge. No other method of entry is accepted. Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted.

The exhibition is open to participants of all ages. However, minors need a parent's or guardian's consent to enter. Participants might be asked to show proof of their identity and - in the case of minors - parental/guardian consent. Failure to do so will result in disqualification from the exhibition.

You must warrant that the photograph you are submitting is your own work and that you own the copyright for it.

In addition to owning the copyright, you declare that you have complied with all relevant laws (copyright, privacy rights etc.) in producing your work and that you have obtained all necessary permissions. This might include third party works (such as architectural designs, sculptures or photographs).

Copyright of all submitted photos in this exhibition remains with the respective entrants. However, by submitting your entry, you consent to our use of your name, except where prohibited by law, and grant worldwide, irrevocable, rights to The Horsebridge Arts Centre, its partners and affiliates starting from the day of the submission, to feature the submitted image in any of their publications, their websites and/or in any promotional material connected to this exhibition.

By submitting an entry, you grant The Horsebridge Arts Centre the irrevocable right to publish the photograph in relation to this exhibition without compensation to you, including the print and potential sale of one print of the submitted image.

Do not take images of others without their consent. No children should be recognisable in the photograph.

Do not be offensive. Do not put yourself or others in danger when taking your photograph.

Chosen entries will be printed in a 4" x 4" format and exhibited in The Horsebridge Arts Centre from 5 April to 10 April 2018. While the Centre will take good care when printing the photographs for showcasing purposes, it cannot be held responsible if the printing quality is different from the quality expected by the entrant.

The exhibition is made possible thanks to our fantastic sponsor me:now.

The me:now app lets small businesses advertise when they have appointments available, not just what & where they do it. Rather than ringing around trying to find someone that can fit you in, the me:now app only shows the businesses that say they are available. Customers can follow their favourite businesses and be notified when a cancellation or free slot becomes available.
