The Magic of Blue and White

Artist Lana Arkhi shows how to turn porcelain pieces into beautiful blue and white
decorative interior objects using the original technique of blue and white porcelain
painting. After the 3hr workshop, each participant will know how to paintb ceramics
at home. All materials will be included.

An artist from Russia, now living in Broadstairs, Lana has been elected as a member
of The Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors & Graversand awarded for the
best work presented at the RMS exhibition at the Mall Galleries ( London, September 2017)

In 1989, during Perestroika(the major reformation of Russia since the revoulution),
Lana Arkhi started working and concentrating on ceramic art, painting and producing
traditional Russian blue and white porcelain called 'Gzhel'.

During 1994 to 2000 she worked in the studio of L.Azarova, a renowned Russian ceramic
artist and sculptor. This led to opening her own porcelain studio in 2000, where she
created her first big porcelain collection called 'The City'.

Recently she has been to devote her time to being a full-time artist creating watercolour
paintings and porcelain. in 2012 she moved to Broadstairs and many of her collections have
been sold to private collections across the world.
