Bubble Club Presents: Nine Below Zero
17 Nov 201217 Nov 2012
Along with the likes of Dr Feelgood, Eddie & The Hot Rods and The Inmates, Nine Below Zero erupted from the eye of the storm that was the UK New Wave at the tail end of the 1970's, and no one could have predicted then that this four-piece blues/rock powerhouse would still be at the top of their game in 2012. But here they are – still fronted by Dennis Greaves and Mark Feltham – the same Nine Below Zero who blew the roof off the original Marquee Club back in 1980.
During their career they've made a number of critically acclaimed albums following the signing of a record deal with A&M, and have toured their South East London blues internationally, supporting Chuck Berry, The Who, The Kinks, Sting, Jools Holland, Paul Jones, Eric Clapton and even Bruce Willis, who asked them to back him at Planet Hollywood in London after the premier of Twelve Monkeys.
The band kicked off 2012 with shows in Germany, Switzerland and Austria and a handful of UK festival appearances. Nine Below Zero are just as vibrant and brilliant as they have always been.
